I am trying to translate the site enlace oculto into several other languages.

The default language is Spanish.

I use wordpress with divi builder and also dondivi menus. Right now the page need string translation.

Method 1:

For example I want to translate the H1 originally in Spanish
Dinos cómo te podemos ayudar
and I use the + to select each language. Result: it will no show anywhere...

Method 2:

I try to translate from the front end. I first select the language I want to translate into and then enable the builder. Save everything and for a few minutes it looks good. After 10 minutes, the site is completely messy. The languages are in wrong order (!) so for example French appears in German, German in English, English is gone at all and the last language I translated to is now Spanish, the base one. Spanish gone, of course. This is crazy.

Please help.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello again,

Thanks for your contact!

The behavior you described is an issue that occurs when the page/post is translated manually: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/, but the translation was not marked as an independent post with the "Translate independently" button.

In order to solve this, you need to follow the exact step-by-step outlined in the article I mentioned above. When possible, please take a time to fully read and follow this documentation.

Alternatively, you can also use our Translation Editor to do the translations, instead of using a manual editor (Divi, in your case). This also should solve the overwriting problem. Please check our doc related:

- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/

Basically you can go to WPML -> Translation Management, send your content to translation, and this should do the trick.

Please give it a try and let us know about your results. Thank you.

Kind regards,
Mateus.
