Problem:
The client reported that the credits in their WPML account were not visible in the backend of their website. Additionally, after deleting WPML from the plugins, it no longer appeared in the search results or in the existing plugins, and they were unable to add it as a new plugin.
Solution:
First, we addressed the issue with the credits not showing. This could happen if WPML is uninstalled or reset, as a new automatic translation account ID is generated, leaving the credits in the old account. We advised the client to:
1. Move the credits back to their WPML.org account by using the "add/remove credits" button on https://wpml.org/account.
2. Remove the current site key and generate a new one at https://wpml.org/account/sites/, then unregister and re-register WPML in their website's backend.
3. Re-add the credits to the site following the steps provided at https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-assign-automatic-translation-credits-to-your-sites/.
For the issue of the missing WPML plugin, we suggested:
1. Downloading WPML from https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog.
2. Going to Plugins > Add new > Upload in the website's backend, uploading the zip file, and then installing and activating the plugin.

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this and I'm here to help you resolve this.

Those credits probably got stuck.

So, please let me explain why I think this situation with the credits might be happening.

When you initially install and set up WPML, an automatic translation account id is created automatically in the process.

If you uninstall/reset WPML or reinstall/set WordPress from scratch, a new automatic translation account ID will be generated, and the credits will remain in the old account.

On this page (https://wpml.org/account), can you click the "add/remove credits” button and move the credits back to your WPML.org account?

Then, please go here (https://wpml.org/account/sites/) > remove the current site key > generate a new one > then go to your website's backend > Plugins > Add new > Commercial > UNregister WPML from the old key > RE-register WPML with the new key.

Now, you can re-add the credits to your site by following the steps here:

Hi Susanne.

The plugin should show up if you go to your website backend and on the left area, you will see a tab called "Plugins" or "Extensions".

From there, you should be able to find the plugin.

Dear Mihai, no unfortunately not. It dienst appear in my existing plugins neither if I would like to add it as a new plugin - See screenshots. Sorry, could you help me please?

Hi Susanne and welcome back.

Then probably you are right - WPML has been removed.

You can download it from here (https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog) then go to Plugins > Add new > Upload > and upload the zip file and install + activate the plugin.

Please let me know how that goes.
