Translation Readiness Service helps translation services prepare their client sites for translation. WPML’s team will review sites and make sure that they are well-configured and free of technical issues, before sending content to translation.

Why use the Translation Readiness Service?

As an official translation partner, new customers will approach you, eager to start their translation projects. But wait – jumping into a project without first checking that the customer’s website is technically sound can lead to headaches down the line.

WPML offers the Translation Readiness Service to help identify and fix any potentially problematic issues with the customer’s site. Checking for these before a translation project will save the stress and frustration of you and your customer having to troubleshoot their site setup while under a project deadline. You’ll be ready to successfully receive and send translation jobs before the customer sends their first project.

What will the WPML team check?

The WPML team will complete the Translation Readiness Service review in 1-2 days. We’ll cover the following:

  1. Check the compatibility status of theme and plugins
  2. Determine the correct way for translating different parts of the site
  3. Highlight potential issues and unknown limitations
  4. Update everything on the site

The Translation Readiness Service also includes extensive online training to your support team about WPML and best practices for managing translations. Your support team can take this course online at their own pace.

If a site can pass each of these checks, you and your customer should be able to send translation jobs back and forth easily and without any showstopping technical issues.
