There are some aspects of Directorist listings that will not translate to Spanish, no matter what I do. The ticket was closed but the issue was not completely resolved.
You can see in these screenshots the aspects of the listings that still won't translate. There is a ticket that has been archived that Alejandro was dealing with and it was archived before I had a chance to advise that some strings are still not translating and so the Spanish version continues to have these elements still displaying in English.
There is a ticket on this issue - the WPML compatability team were dealing with it because Directorist is NOT compatible with WPML as claimed. Directorist has so many bugs I've had to spend a fortune using a developer to fix them all over the last year and a half.
I think Alejandro thought all of the issues had been resolved, but as you can see from the screenshots, this is not the case and I still need assistance making the remainder of these things compatible and translatable.
Any of the listings demonstrate this issue, e.g. hidden link
I don't know if you have access to my previous tickets as this would help ensure that you don't cover old ground. But strings are not available for translation and WPML had to inject code to overcome overwriting issues as between Spanish and English settings within the Directorist Business Directory. They also had to show me a loom for adding strings the way developers do - but this is very complicated for me and not something I should have to do given that WPML and Directorist market Directorist as WPML compatable when it isn't. hidden link
Alejandro and the team have done a great job helping overcome the majority of the compatability issues, but I really need every listing to be completely in Spanish for the Spanish version, not a mix of English and Spanish as it currently is.
This is Paola and I will continue with your ticket as Christofer is off.
First of all please send me a link to the page where I can see the issue.
Then, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
**IMPORTANT**
- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.
The private box looks like this: hidden link
I have already done this - Alejandro has already been working on this issue, but just some items from the custom single listing with Directorist remain outstanding and the ticket was closed prematurely as he thought everything was resolved. It seems counter-intuitive to repeat everything when you already have all of this information, access to my site, and a local site you've set up to test. I feel that going thtrough this process from scratch is reinventing a very well-used wheel. Why not go back to the ticket Alejandro was dealing with to see the solutions already implemented - it's simply a few strings / elements that need fixing by the Devs / compatability team who are already very familiar with the issue, and then the work is complete?
The Spanish and English versions were overwriting each other but the Devs wrote some code and now that is working. However, some of the items, as per the screenshots shared, still aren't translatable from this source and do not show after translating them as strings through WPML.
It was closed because the overwriting issue was fixed - but some aspects of Directorist Single Custom Listings still don't translate as you can see when you go back to the original screenshots I shared as part of this ticket.
Unfortunately I must have missed the private info box you sent through - I tried to find it but can't. Nevertheless, you have FTP access etc. already provided - the Devs have been actively working on the site, so I don't think it's necessary to recreate - this will negate the password which will then have to be reissued, preventing the Devs having access with the original FTP and other access details already provided.
Thank you for sharing the ticket. Unfortunately, that ticket is already set as resolved so we can not do anything about that and the login information is cleared from the system automatically to make sure we comply with the GDPR privacy rules.
The checkbox will be available for the next reply that you can use to provide the login information.
Also I checked the previous ticket and I do not think the ones you gave the screenshot at the beginning of this ticket are related directly to the method Alejandro mentione din the video.
It is a string but it might need more to check. That is why I appreciate it if you could treat this as a separate case.
Thanks.
