Background of the issue:
I'm trying to translate a page that contains a Vimeo link using WPML with Divi as my theme. When I use the Advanced Translation Editor, it does not show me the Vimeo Link. I have tried finding the 'et_pb_video_box' class in the Custom Fields in settings to set it to translate but could not find it. I added this on Custom XML Configuration: et_pb_video_box It did not work. I also tried editing 'functions.php' with custom WPML filters for translating the Vimeo iframe URL, but it did not work, so I deleted it. I also tried to find the string on 'String Translation' but could not find it.

Symptoms:
The Advanced Translation Editor does not show the Vimeo Link, and attempts to configure custom fields and filters did not resolve the issue.

Questions:
How can I translate a Vimeo link using WPML with Divi theme?
Why is the 'et_pb_video_box' class not appearing in Custom Fields for translation?
How can I make the Vimeo link appear in the Advanced Translation Editor?

Hi there,

When editing the tranlsation, at the top of the translation editor there is a way to "search".

In the search area start by typing in the URL for the vimeo (no need to add the whole URL) , do you see the link now? If yes proceed by translating it, please.

https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-links/

If that does not work, a quick workaround to proceed with your project in the meantime is to manually edit the translation and replace the vimeo URL.

1. Edit the page in the default language
2. In the language box, switch to "WordPress Editor"
3. In the pop-up dialog that appears, select "This page"
4. Click the Pencil icon to edit the translation

While in the manual edit mode you can now edit the element with the URL and add your translated URL and save.

Let us know your results, please.

Hello,

Typing the vimeo URL in the Translation Editor does not work. I get no results.
I was able to change the link by editing the page directly.
But I would like to be able to do this directly in the Translation Editor as almost all the pages that need translation have this same issue.

Best regards,
Hugo Sousa

Hello,

The 'et_pb_video_box' is not a default Divi Widget - are you using a custom widget?

The default "Video" widget for Divi is called

et_pb_video

and it is using the attribute:

image_src, background_image

I can not confirm any issue when running a test with this widget.

Could you please try to recreate the issue on the following test site?
