This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're unable to translate the names of sections in a MasterStudy course using WPML, the issue arises because section titles cannot be directly translated. Instead, you need to recreate the sections in the translated version of the course.
Solution:
First, translate the lessons and assignments. Then, create a new course in the desired language and build its curriculum from scratch. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Navigate to MasterStudy > Courses.
2. Use the language selector in the admin bar to switch to the desired language.
3. For the course you want to translate, click "Edit with course builder".
4. Start with an empty curriculum and create new sections, then import the translated lessons and assignments using the 'Search Materials → Import' function. This is where you manually set the translated section titles.
For detailed guidance, check the MasterStudy documentation on course translation here.

Please ensure to back up your website fully before making these changes.

Hello,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue.
It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I'll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site.
This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content.
Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site.

**IMPORTANT**
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields.

Best Regards,
Otto

Hello,

According to MasterStudy documentation, you can’t translate section titles directly; you recreate sections in the translated course.

In MasterStudy LMS with WPML, the docs workflow is: translate the lessons/assignments first, then create a translated course and rebuild its curriculum. When you edit the translated course in Course Builder, it starts with an empty curriculum, so you create new sections there and then import the translated lessons/assignments via Search Materials → Import. This is the point where you set the translated section titles manually.

I tried in the staging site you've provided, and it worked. These are the steps:
- Go to MasterStudy > Courses
- Use the language selector in the admin bar and switch to Dutch
- For a course, click "Edit with course builder".
- Translate the sections

I pseudo-translated them, and it works:

Please give it a try on your end and let me know how it goes.

❌ Please make a full website backup before proceeding ❌
