<b>Background of the issue: </b>
I have an existing website built using Elementor, and recently I installed the WPML plugin to enable multilingual support, specifically for Dutch language. Despite troubleshooting by deactivating all other plugins and reverting to a default theme, the issue persists. Interestingly, when I deactivate WPML, Elementor functions correctly again. <b>Symptoms: </b>
Elementor is no longer loading properly after installing WPML, making it impossible to edit or manage the site’s content through Elementor.
<b>Questions: </b>
Could you please investigate this issue and provide guidance on how to resolve it?
Are there any specific steps or settings adjustments that need to be made to ensure compatibility between Elementor and WPML in a Dutch language context?

Hi,
before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.
It would be good if you can provide us the WordPress debug.log (not WPML debug informations).
To enable it, open your wp-config.php file and look for define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);. Change it to:
In this case the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/directory.
If you can paste your debug.log to pastebin.com and provide me that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way, because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess in discussion).
I've checked your debug log and I'm not seeing any errors that would cause the issue you had there.
Since we initially removed the credentials you publicly shared due to security concerns, could you please share a new temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
I see the elementor is not loading, actually I installed the WPML plugin and deactivated the Polylang plugin. Since then, Elementor has not been loading properly.
To provide some context:
- The site was functioning correctly with Elementor and Polylang before the WPML installation.
- After installing WPML and deactivating Polylang, the issue with Elementor loading began.
- A similar site setup without WPML and with Polylang active shows no issues with Elementor, demonstrating that Elementor is working fine under those conditions.
I have already tried basic troubleshooting steps, including clearing the cache and checking for plugin conflicts, but the problem persists.
Could you please assist in resolving this issue? I am looking for any guidance or steps that can help restore the functionality of Elementor with WPML on my site.

I've rechecked and it looks like the issue is coming from the child theme "Hello Elementor Child". Switching to the parent theme "Hello Elementor" fixes the issue. Upon inspecting, it looks like some code in the "Hello Elementor Child" theme custom.js is causing the issue as shown in the attached screenshot.
Could you check with your theme developer?
