This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You want to automatically translate the English 'Service' page to German, but the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) and the classic editor display an outdated version of the original content. Even though viewing the original page from within a WPML editor button shows the correct version, the original text to translate is not synchronized in ATE.
Solution:
We resolved the issue by running the WPML troubleshooting options, canceling the in-progress translation job, and creating a new one. If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend trying these steps. Additionally, if this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I want to automatically translate the English 'Service' page to German but ATE (and the classic editor) shows an old version of the original content. If I 'view' the original page from within a WPML editor button it shows the actual version. I had the German language deleted and reinstalled since it had created a lot of bugs in my Elementor layout.

Symptoms:
Original text to translate is not synchronized in ATE.

Questions:
Why is ATE showing an old version of the original content?
How can I synchronize the original text in ATE to reflect the current version?
Does deleting and reinstalling the German language affect the synchronization in ATE?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Would you please share the page URL to check it?

Also, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

The WP-admin I guess?
I did a copy/paste now from the login and edited the login information.
Maybe I made a typo, sorry.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the access details. Would you please go to WPML-> hidden link">Translations, try to translate the page, and check if ATE gets the correct version?

Best regards,
Osama
