This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants to add additional languages to their English-primary site without including them in the 'Translate Everything' mode.
Solution:
Currently, it is not possible to add new languages without them being included in the 'Translate Everything' mode. If you're looking to experiment with new languages selectively, we recommend switching to manual translation mode and managing translations individually.

Background of the issue:
I have a large English-primary site at hidden link. 'Translate everything' is enabled for Spanish and Swahili. I'm interested in trying out other languages on a smaller scale.

Symptoms:
There seems to be no way to add additional languages without having them included in 'translate everything.'

Questions:
How can I add additional languages without including them in 'translate everything'?

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for your question!

At this time, it isn’t possible to add new languages without including them in the “Translate Everything” mode. We currently don’t plan to introduce this option, as most of our clients prefer to have all content translated automatically for simplicity and speed. Offering separate control per language would make the setup more complex for the majority of users.

If you’d like to experiment with new languages selectively, the best workaround is to switch to manual translation moden and manage translations individually.

Best regards,
Marcel
