This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to add a WPML language switcher to their site, even when using the default theme and clearing the cache.
Solution:
We identified that the 'Atarim: Visual Website Collaboration, Feedback & Workflow Management' plugin was causing the issue. After deactivating this plugin, the language switcher could be added successfully. Since this plugin is not on our compatibility list, we recommend contacting the plugin author for support or considering an alternative plugin.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. For further assistance, you can contact us directly at WPML support forum.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I can see the issue in the attached video, could you please try another browser and see if this resolves the issue?

If the issue persists, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is essential.

Thank you

Thanks for providing the login details. The issue was caused by the “Atarim: Visual Website Collaboration, Feedback & Workflow Management” plugin. After deactivating it, I was able to add the WPML language switcher properly.

Since this plugin isn’t listed in our compatibility list, I suggest contacting the plugin author for support or considering an alternative plugin.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need any further assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation
