This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was concerned about WPML AI being enabled by default, leading to increased costs, and the quality of translations where their brand name was omitted.
Solution:
We clarified that WPML AI is not enabled by default. It is set to the last place among translation engines and must be manually activated by the user. This ensures that it cannot be used accidentally. WPML AI, powered by Chat GPT, differs from traditional engines by analyzing entire content for context and accuracy, which enhances the quality of translations. Background of the issue:
I was using Microsoft as providers. Since last month, you rolled out WPML AI, which was enabled by default automatically, leading to a 4x cost increase compared to Microsoft. I see an obvious fee surge, and I think it's illegal to enable this for a fee without user consent. Your AI is bad because recent translations eliminated my brand name, and I had to add them manually. Based on your calculator, 1 million words under AI costs €1,137.00, while GPT 4o mini costs $0.75/million tokens. I understand you earn a profit, but it isn't a reasonable price. Besides, you didn't make your AI reliable and easy to use.

Symptoms:
charge change without consent.
bad AI translation

Questions:
Why was WPML AI enabled by default without my consent?
Why are the AI translations eliminating my brand name?
Fix your joking price

Hello,

thanks for contacting us.

I understand you are upset, but I am afraid WPML AI is not enabled by default, it is disabled and set to the last place of all translation engines. So people who are willing to use it, need to enable, set first to place or disable all other engines and then can translate it with it. The image is attached. It is not something that can used by accident.

WPML AI engine is not Chat GPT engine, although it is powered by Chat GPT. Unlike traditional engines that translate sentence by sentence, WPML AI analyzes your entire content to ensure accuracy and context. This holistic approach results in translations that are not just literal but also nuanced and culturally relevant.

Our extensive testing across various content types—technical, narrative-driven, and more—revealed that WPML AI outperforms all other engines. Native speakers rated its translations as perfect or near-perfect.
