Hi,

WPML significantly slows down WP Admin, I know this is a common question.

What can I do to optimize WPML?

In terms of sever specs we use Cloudways / DigitalOcean the server has just 3 sites on it 8GB RAM the other sites barely use any resources but the CPU usage from this site with WPML enabled goes sky high especially on the block editor.

Using the block editor is actually the biggest issue and the 2 plugins that causes this is WPML and Toolset.

Hello,

I see the site is using 128MB of WP MEMORY LIMIT.

Please verify WPML > Support > PHP. Could it be that the current memory usage is almost as high or higher than 128M?

If this will not clarify the issue I would suggest installing the plugin "Query Monitor" and checking for Errors or Slow Queries.

If you find anything that relates to WPML, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

Are you saying I should increase the WP MEMORY LIMIT?

See the attached screenshot.

Thanks

Indeed, as you can see on the screenshot the current memory usage is 120.41 MB while the WP MEMORY LIMIT is set to 128M. This means that the site is running close to its limit.

I suggest you adapt the limit to 256M and then revise again the performance of your site.
