This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to find and translate certain strings using WPML on their website. Even after locating and translating the string, it did not appear on the page. The client also inquired about translating a form without purchasing an additional plugin add-on.
Solution:
We recommended two methods to locate and translate missing strings:
1. Enable the option 'Look for strings while pages are rendered' in WPML > String Translation, visit the page where the string should appear, and then search for the string again in WPML.
2. If the string is still not found, it might be categorized as an admin text string. We provided documentation on how to find and translate admin text strings: Translate Admin and Settings Strings and related issues: Finding Strings that Don't Appear on the String Translation Page.
Regarding the form translation, the plugin's website indicated that both WPML and a specific add-on are required to translate the content effectively due to limitations imposed by the plugin developers.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant, we recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hi there, and thank you for reaching out.

Certain strings may require a specific procedure to be located and translated.

Moreover, the proper method for translating strings greatly depends on how they have been incorporated into the theme/plugin.

IMPORTANT: Sometimes, there are even duplicates of the same string and only one of them is the correct one that needs to be translated.

Also, sometimes, simply removing the string (checking the box and removing it) and then re-registering it again by scanning for it (one of the methods below) and re-translating it resolves the issue.

Please attempt both methods and check if either of them resolves the issue.

Method 1:

Navigate to WPML > String Translation, and at the bottom of the page, you will find a checkbox labeled "Look for strings while pages are rendered." You can enable (check) that option, then go to the front end to a page where the string is displayed, and afterward return to WPML > String Translation to search for that string and see if it now appears.

Method 2:

If you can't locate them within WPML > String Translation, they might be included as admin text strings.

This is the typical process for finding and translating admin text strings:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

Related documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

PS: There is also something important to mention; if the strings come from outside of WordPress, it would be impossible for WPML to see or translate them.

Please keep us informed about your progress.

Thank you for your reply.

Actually, i found the string and i translated it, but it doesn't show up on the page. I don't understand that. It's weird.

Hi, and thank you for the credentials.

I can confirm that I was able to log in successfully.

No SFTP/FTP data is needed for now.

I am spending more time on this and will get back to you as soon as I have more feedback.

I will leave the ticket assigned to myself for now.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

FYI, i contacted "ListyGo theme" support and they said that i have to buy their Add-on (hidden link) in order to translate the theme to more than two languages, but if i can avoid buying it, it would be better.

So, i'm waiting for your reply to know whether we can translate the site without their add-on or not.

Thank you.

Hi there, and welcome back!

From what I can see, the plugin's website clearly states that you need both WPML and their specific add-on to translate the content effectively.

Unfortunately, the plugin developers have imposed a limitation that prevents WPML from accessing and translating the content on its own. Therefore, an additional add-on is necessary to overcome this limitation.

If you decide to purchase it, please ensure they provide step-by-step documentation on how to use the add-on. This will help confirm that it meets your needs.

I hope that you will find this recommendation helpful.
