Background of the issue:
We have pages in English (source language) that have a background image and a featured image (different from each other). When translating into other languages, the background image shows OK but the featured image shows huge at the beginning of the page when it shouldn't show at all.
Symptoms:
The featured image appears very large at the beginning of the translated page when it should not be displayed.
Questions:
Why is the featured image showing huge at the beginning of the translated page?
How can I prevent the featured image from appearing on the translated page?
Have you disabled the featured image for the original page? If you used theme settings, you may need to try switching the language using the admin language switcher and then set the same setting for the language you are translating to.
Please backup your database before making any changes.
