This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are experiencing an issue where changes to a button URL do not persist after saving. Specifically, when you attempt to change the URL, it reverts back to the previous value automatically, despite showing a revision with the new URL.
Solution:
This problem is not related to a 'revision overwrite' but rather to the permalink structure and the behavior of a multisite-activated plugin that controls custom rules. Here's what you can do:
1. Ensure that the URL you are trying to use matches the one returned by the language switcher, which should be:
https://cadran-temp.wp01-stage.dutchwebdesign.nl/en/services/oracle-netsuite-erp/netsuite-wms-en/
2. Be aware that WordPress does not allow duplicate slugs, hence the automatic addition of '-en' to your URL. If you manually change the slug, WordPress skips the validation process, which might not trigger an error but can lead to unexpected behavior.
3. Check the custom rules and modifications controlled by the multisite-activated plugin here: Plugin Settings
