This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where all translations, including pages, posts, and string translations, have disappeared from their website. The translations are also missing from the wp_icl_translations table in the database, and attempts to clear the WPML cache, check translation settings, disable other plugins, verify the wp_icl_translations table, and rescan the theme and plugins have not resolved the issue.

Solution:
We suggested that the client first consider any recent events that might have affected their site, such as site migration, running cleanup scripts, or direct interactions with the database, as these could have reset the data. Additionally, we recommended trying to manually add a translation for a page that previously had a translation by clicking the '+' icon in the WPML translation management. This step is to check if the existing translation reappears in the translation editor.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to restore the missing translations on my website hidden link. All translated content, including pages, posts, and string translations, has disappeared. I have checked the WPML translation management and string translation sections, but the translations are missing. I have attempted several steps to resolve the issue, including clearing WPML cache, checking translation settings, disabling other plugins, verifying the wp_icl_translations table, and rescanning the theme and plugins.

Symptoms:
The issue occurred suddenly, and I am unable to retrieve the translations. Translation data seems to be missing from the wp_icl_translations table.

Questions:
How can I recover the lost translations on my website?
What steps should I take if the translations are missing from the wp_icl_translations table?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

This is strange that everything has been wiped out including from the database. Do you remember any particular event recently, like migrating the site, running any cleanup scripts, interacting directly with database and etc? I suspect something may have reset the stuff in your site.

Besides this, can you try to add translation manually (by clicking + icon) for one of the existing page, which had the translation previously? And see if you can see existing translation appearing in the translation editor?

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.

Well you can try restoring that backup on a test/dev site first and check about it.
