My workflow:
1> I created all content (pages, posts, wc-products) in main language (german)
2> I translated all media (img, pdf, epub) in Media Translator before starting with the translation of pages, posts etc.
3> In main language content, I used media in their respective places (i.e. Featured Image or/and in content)
4> I translate the content, but stopped (pls see below).
Problems:
!-> I still see on translated wc-product page the untranslated media
!-> Advanced Translator Editor shows in Media section texts for translation (Title, Desc., Alt Text) for already in step 1 translated media.
Questions:
?> Why won't the translated media and Featured Images be shown?
?> Why does Advanced Translation Editor show already translated media for translation?
WPML Settings:
> Automatically detect best options for translating image texts (alt, caption, title)

would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
