Background of the issue:
I am trying to configure the language switcher in my main menu to display only the native language without showing the language name or current language. I am using the Porto theme for WooCommerce, which allows me to adjust the switcher's position. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
The main menu language switcher shows the language name and current language despite the setup to display only the native language. The mobile menu switcher works correctly.

Questions:
How can I configure the language switcher in the main menu to display only the native language?
Why does the language switcher in the main menu not reflect the setup while the mobile menu does?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

1. To display a language switcher in menu and customize it, please try to follow the below steps:

- Make sure to enable the Menu Language Switcher from WPML >> Languages > Menu Language Switcher.
- Click on the Edit language switcher icon as you can see in the attached screenshot.
- Customize the language switcher according to your needs and see if this resolves the issue.

2. If you want to display language switcher in some other position using Elementor page builder, please follow the below steps:

- Edit the Elementor header template.
- Add the “Shortcode” widget and add the below shortcode in it:

[wpml_language_selector_widget]

- Go to WPML >> Languages > Custom Language Switchers and choose the “Enable” checkbox option and press the “Customize” button and you can customize it according to your needs.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance with this issue.

Thank you
