[Resolved] Translated strings of plugin does not show in translation
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are working on a site and trying to translate strings from the Opt-Out for Google Analytics plugin into French using WPML. Despite following the translation instructions and the plugin being WPML compatible, the translated strings are not appearing on the French version of the site. Solution: The issue was related to caching. We recommend deleting and re-adding the translation for the affected segment and then clearing all caches. After doing this, check the site again using an anonymous browser tab to see if the translations appear as expected.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to translate strings from a privacy policy plugin called Opt-Out for Google Analytics (DSGVO / GDPR) into French. I followed WPML instructions for translating the strings, and the plugin author confirms that the plugin is WPML compatible.
Symptoms:
The translated strings do not show in the French version of the site.
Questions:
Why are the translated strings not displaying in the French version of the site?
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.
IMPORTANT
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:
You can find it here: hidden link
its the string "Verbiete Google Analytics, mich zu verfolgen" that should be in french as well.. but it's not.. in string translation it shows as translated
Thank you for waiting. It seems to have been a caching issue. I simply deleted and re-added the translation for that segment and cleared all caches. If you see that something is not showing up as expected, clear all caches and check on an anonymous tab.
Thanks for the info. Kinda weird as I actually did clear all the caches.. but it seems I should have done like you and deleted the translations and redo them after clearing the caches...
Anyway, thanks for the support!
