Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a Link field from ACF using WPML. I have installed and enabled the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin, set the 'Translation preferences' setting to 'Translate' for the link field, resaved the field group and page, searched for the field in 'Custom Fields Translation' in WPML settings, and completed an old translation job to generate a new one. I also tried adding a new link field with the same settings but a different slug, and it was detected by the Advanced Translation Editor.

Symptoms:
The Link field from ACF does not appear in the Advanced Translation Editor, neither the title nor the URL.

Questions:
What can I do to find that old link field in Editor?

Hi there,

I tried testing the issue on a fresh install, but I couldn’t reproduce it. So, it seems like it might be a site-specific problem.

Can you please update the ACF Pro plugin to the latest version and check if the issue still exists?

Also, have you tried disabling all non-WPML plugins, switching to one of the default themes, and checking if the issue still persists?

Remember to create a backup of your site (both files and the database) before making any updates or changes. This is always a good practice.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks

I've just updated ACF plugin to latest version. Changing theme for default one won't work, because block is added in my custom theme.

Can you now check after ACF update? In my quick test it doesnt fixed the issue.

Hi there,

I've reviewed the issue you're experiencing and would like to investigate it further. To do so, I'd like to replicate your site on my local environment. Could you please zip the wp-content directory along with a backup of your database and share them via a file-sharing platform?

I've enabled a private reply for your convenience.

Thank you!

Can I send you backup packed using "Akeeba Backup CORE for WordPress" plugin?

How do I send files? I only see option to upload an image, not file per say.

Hi there,

I’ve tried testing this multiple times, and I can only seem to reproduce the issue when the theme is enabled. I’ve even separated the code for the block to test it separately.

Could you try this for me? Go to your theme folder -> inc -> Config, and rename the acf-json folder once. Then, make a small edit on the page. If this helps, it did for me on my test site.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks

Hello,
I've done as you asked, changed folders name, made small edit, but required fields still didn't appeared in translation manager.

Hi there,

I’m having some trouble accessing the FTP details for the site. Could you please check and update them in the next private reply?

Also, would it be okay if I make these changes on the site?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks
