This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing system freezes when editing a template in the Czech language using the Bricks editor on your WordPress site, it might be due to a corrupted languages folder.

Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve this issue:
1. Rename the

/wp-content/languages

folder on your site. You can choose any name for the folder, or even delete it, but ensure you take a backup of your site first.
2. Try editing the Czech template again. The system should now work fine.
After renaming or removing the language folder, you might see a notice in the WordPress admin about an unwritable languages folder. This is temporary and should soon change to a message indicating that "WPML is updating .mo files...".

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
We have 15 languages in our WordPress site under development. When I try to edit a template using Bricks in the language 'Czech', the system freezes. All other languages work perfectly fine.

Symptoms:
The system freezes when editing a template in the 'Czech' language using Bricks.

Questions:
Why does the system freeze only when editing a template in the 'Czech' language?
How can I resolve the freezing issue when editing templates in the 'Czech' language?

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I've created a fresh sandbox site at hidden link (one-click login) and am trying to reproduce the issue.

However, so far it is working fine for me. Can you please take some time and try to reproduce the issue in this sandbox site?

Hey, I dont think we will have the same issue in a sandbox. This bug is specifically in the environment shared with you on here: hidden link.
On the sandbox it works fine.

Is it OK to take a backup of your test site, as well as, clone it to our cloudways test server? You can remove any sensitive data or content from the site.

Please let me know.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I've prepared the CW site, however, I'm wondering that the access to your test site has been removed from this ticket.

Can you please provide the access to the test site again? So I can copy it to our test server for further investigation.

I've enabled your next reply as private again.

Thank you for the access, I was able to login and start migrating (copying) the site to our CW server.

It'll take some time and once all's done, I'll check and share my findings with you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I was able to fix the issue at our CW test site, with the help of my team.

The issue was related to corrupted languages folder in /wp-content/. So I did the following:

- Renamed /wp-content/languages folder.
- Retried editing Czech template and it worked fine.

I'm trying to connect to your test site but looks like it is unreachable (FTP is also not connecting anymore). So please try the above mentioned in your test site first.

There'll be a notice in the WP admin about unwritable languages folder, after renaming or removing the said language folder. This'll be for a brief time and soon it should be changed with something like saying "WPML is updating .mo files...".

Please let me know know after trying the above mentioned.

Hey, thanks for looking further into this. Can you let me know how exactly I shall rename the language folder? Like what name should it have after renaming?
Thank you.

You can use any name to rename the folder, can even delete it (but take a site backup first).

The purpose is to take away the existing languages folder, so it is not found and then recreated by WPML.
