This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: If you're receiving a message stating 'Your WPML account has expired. Renew today to protect your site from breaking changes in future WordPress releases,' even after updating your payment details, the issue might be related to the registration key used in your WPML installation. Solution: We recommend following these steps to resolve the issue: 1. Visit your WPML.org account at http://wpml.org/account/sites/ 2. Remove the current WPML key for the affected domain. 3. Generate a new WPML key for that domain. 4. Copy the new key. 5. Go to the backend of your WordPress site, navigate to Plugins > Add new > Commercial, and find the UNREGISTER link on the right side. 6. Unregister WPML using the old key and then re-register using the new key.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Hi, what do you mean "Remove the current WPML key for that domain" I don't see anything that says I can remove my key from panel in WPML, I can deactivate it on my sites but I am afraid to do so, I don't want my site to brake.
I am getting this message on one or two of my sites. Screenshot attached,
I did absolutely nothing, maybe it was some server caching or local caching active that got cleared automatically at some point.
The message in the screenshot that you sent here (hidden link) is not related to the initial issue mentioned in this ticket.
That looks like a notice that you need to have WPML + one of the ACF versions (FREE or PRO) installed at the same time.
We also have a plugin that you need to activate if you want to use ACF + WPML, it is called "Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual" and it can be found and downloaded from here: https://wpml.org/download/acfml/?section=changelog
Can you please tell me more about where actually do you see this message:
"Your WPML account has expired. Renew today to protect your site from breaking changes in future WordPress releases."
On which domain and on what area, what is the URL where you see that error? Can you also send a screenshot?
Go to that site, in the WordPress backend, then go to Plugins > Add new > there's a link on that page called "Commercial" > click it and you will get to a new page where, on the right area, you should see a URL where you can UN-register WPML.
Then, follow these steps:
1. Go to your WPML.org account here: http://wpml.org/account/sites/
2. Remove the current WPML key for that domain
3. Generate a new WPML key for that domain
4. Copy the key
5. Go in the backend of your WordPress site > Plugins > Add new > Commercial > UN-register WPML from the old key (you gave an UNREGISTER link on the right side) > then RE-register WPML with the new key
