Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to translate ACF built pages using WPML. I have followed the steps to install the translation plugin and the documentation for ACF to enable translations. I have ensured that the Translation options in ACF are set to 'Same fields across languages'.
Symptoms:
When I translate the page, the content of the fields is not translated. The duplicated English pages in the WordPress backend need to be edited manually, but there is no 'pen' icon to edit them manually as per the help file.
Questions:
Why isn't the content of the fields translating when I use ACF with WPML?
How can I manually edit the translated pages if there is no 'pen' icon available?
Please can I have an answer on this? I'm happy to jump onto a live chat again like last time as this may be a complex conversation that needs back and forth. If this can't be resolved we will be requesting a refund unfortunately, as this website needs to go live imminently. Thanks.
Let me start by clearing things up, do you wish to manually translate the page by editing 2nd language page or translate them via WPML editor/automatic translation? Since you can not mix these methods, as it will cause some issues and it requires a different approach. You can use only one method and will need to continue using same method.

I want to use the automatic translation editor. This has worked on some areas of pages not using ACF, and within the wp-admin areas, however the actual pages content themselves have not translated.
The bar at the top (see previously attached images) says "the field groups attached use different translation options" however from the other image I supplied, I had picked the auto translation options for them.

Okay, so if you are using WPML editor / automatic translation editor you should not edit the 2nd language page manually.
You can do the next and let me know how it goes. Go to WPML > Translation Management> Choose your page and select to translate it yourself. Go to WPML > Translations > take and translate.
Let me know what you see in the editor for translation and if something is missing.
