Background of the issue:
I am trying to manually add a translation to German for strings on my site hidden link. These strings have a sandbox icon under the German language.
Symptoms:
1) When I click the sandbox icon, nothing happens, and it says 'waiting for translator to German'. 2) When I try to send it to the basket, I get the message 'String "abc" will be ignored for German, because translation is already waiting for translator'. 3) All jobs (for strings) in the jobs list for English to German are in 'complete' status.
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
This, of course, works. (I tried it on one string).
But it is an imperfect solution since I have for each string translations for Spanish and Portuguese. The only missing translation is for German.
After I delete them, I have to redo all the languages.
Please close this ticket. I prefer to use this workaround than wait for a better solution.
Thanks for your efforts.
