Tell us what you are trying to do?

visokaposlovnaskola.edu.rs needs to be available in both Cyrilic and Latin script (Standard Serbian language uses both).

Currently, all the content of the website is served in Serbian Latin script.

I want to add the option to serve the current content in the Serbian Cyrilic, also. Both Serbian Cyrilic & Latin (Location: Serbia) are available to select from the WPML setup option *create a custom language.

When i click on the button Save language, i get the *The wrong format in fields *Default locale and *hreflang.

The same error is showing regardless the selection of Serbian (Cyrilic) or Serbian (Latin).

Is there any documentation that you are following?

/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi there,

Would you please test by adding no "-" characters for the default locale? Instead use only "_" characters

For the hreflang also please use only one "-" character and keep the rest as small letters.

See if it works.

Thanks.

Hello Christopher!

You mean like the following:

Default locale (required): sr_Cyrl_RS
(instead of default sr_Cyrl-RS)

hreflang (required): sr-cyrlrs
(instead of default sr_Cyrl-RS)

Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Additional question: Do I need to add both Latin and Cyrillic script as additional separate languages, or the Cyrillic is enough?

Thank you in advance!

Yes that is correct. Please consider that WPML already has a Serbian language that you can use and it uses the Cyrillic version.

If you want to add the Latin version you need to add it as a custom language:

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/editing-wpmls-languages-table/

Thanks.
