Background of the issue:
We recently did a content/db copydown from the live site (hopeindustrial.com/eu/de/it/co.uk/fr/mx) to a testing environment which has all of the same domains DNS-pointing at them but with 'stage.' subdomain added. I went in to re-save the new domains for languages.

Symptoms:
I got 'Not Valid' on every one except the default (stage.hopeindustrial.eu). At this point the test site is serving the default language regardless of domain used, so it seems until I can get the new subdomains to validate, the test site is monolingual.

Questions:
Why are the new subdomains not validating properly after the copydown?
How can I get the new subdomains to validate so the test site is not monolingual?

Hi there,

Please try this and let us know your results:

Go to WPML->Languages-> uncheck the box to validate.

Once unchecked now click on "save"

Visit the front end and attempt to change your language using the language switcher, is it working OK ? (make sure the homepage is translated for this work)

Looks like that did it. Thank you for reminding me that clearing the permalinks solves as much as club soda on stains.
