This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You want to translate breadcrumbs generated by Yoast SEO but they are not appearing correctly translated on your website despite being added to the string translation in WPML.
Solution:
First, ensure that the string's default language is set correctly. You can change the source language of the string by following these steps:
1. Go to WPML → String Translation.
2. Select the string related to breadcrumbs.
3. Change its default language to French (or your primary language).
4. Translate it to other languages as needed.
For detailed guidance, visit How to Change the Source Language of Strings.

Background of the issue:
I want to translate my breadcrumbs which are generated by Yoast SEO. I didn't see them in 'string translation', so I clicked on 'Not seeing strings you are looking for?', searched with 'breadcrumbs' as a keyword, and a few results appeared. I added them to strings, but it doesn't seem like it's actually translating the breadcrumbs visible on the website.

Symptoms:
The breadcrumbs are not translating as expected despite being added to strings.

Questions:
How can I ensure that the breadcrumbs generated by Yoast SEO are translated correctly using WPML?

Hello,

Please share the URL where I can see breadcrumbs, so I can advise further.

Please also share how you add them to the default language for that page.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hi Drazen,

my site is on maintenance but WPML still has my admin login so you can see the breadcrumbs on any page of the site, for example :

hidden link

To add them on the page, I use the Yoast widget breadcrumbs.

Hello,

I have checked and I can see this has not been translated via WPML > String translation. Please select the string chang it default language to French and then translate it to other languages.
