Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a specific string in a dropdown list on my site hidden link using WPML. The string 'Year' is not appearing in the string translation section.

see loom video: hidden link

Symptoms:
I cannot find the string 'Year' in the string translation section to translate it.

Questions:
How can I find and translate the string 'Year' in the dropdown list using WPML?

Hi Lauren - following up here ... did you get a chance to look into this?

I tried deleting and registering the strings, and that registers the correct string for translation but the translation still does not show in the drop down. I have set up a clean install, can you please install a copy of your theme here so I can test and see if I am able to reproduce here? If we can I will escalate this to our compatibility team for further assitance. Here's the link to log in to the test site:

I was able to install the theme but I can't activate the plugins because I don't have a license for the theme. I'm asking our compatibility team if they have one I can use for testing, and if not, perhaps you can try your license code on the test site that I set up? I did find a ticket that may be related, and it seems the theme developers did not have a solution, but I can't confirm because the link to the site in the other ticket is not working which is why I am trying to duplicate the issue on the sandbox site.

Possible related ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-translate-some-texts/

If you don't have a license that we can use here, let me know and I'll continue trying to access one so we can test this issue further.

Thanks Lauren. Let me ask theme developer for a testing license. I'll let you know once i hear back.

I am not sure i can use my own license, because it can only be active for 1 domain.

Hi Luaren - please see below for response from theme support

Reach out to WPML Support (Lauren):
Ask Lauren to register on our support website: StylemixThemes Support hidden link

Provide Us with the Registration Email:
Once Lauren has registered, ask her to provide you with the email address she used during the registration process.

Temporary License Code:
Share the email address with us, and we will grant a temporary license code to the account associated with that email. This will allow WPML support to test and replicate the issue in their sandbox environment.

I have the theme installed and activated with WPML configured. Could you please set up the filter the way you have it on your live site? Once that is done, I will test the translation. Thanks!
