Background of the issue:
I am trying to fix some translations on my site hidden link. Specifically, I need to find and correct some strings that are already translated.

Symptoms:
I can't find the correct translations to fix. For example, the Woocommerce word 'Products' in Irish is 'Táirgí', but I don't know where this is set.

Questions:
Where can I find the translations for specific strings like 'Products' in WPML?
Is there any documentation that can help me locate and fix these translations?

I also need to translate the Stripe Woocommerce payment plugin.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching us. Based on your screenshot, are you referring to the texts in the WordPress backend? If you are, try navigating to your WP Profile in English Language and make sure this "Set admin language as editing language." option is not checked as shown in the attached screenshot. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks Kor, is there a way to edit these strings, it couldn't be that the word Products is common to all app parts of the site, could it?

Thanks for your reply.

Have you tried using String Translation? If it's not there, try rescan the plugin as explained here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#scan-the-theme-or-plugin and then, recheck the string translation to see if the string shows up.

Yes, this is exactly how I've been trying to track down translations, for example:

hidden link

All translates to Gach ceann, but it's not found after scanning the whole of Woocommerce.

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
