Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up the WPML plugin on a multisite WordPress installation. The parent site is hidden link and the child site is hidden link. I have increased the memory as recommended and followed the advice to deactivate all other plugins, switch to a standard theme, and set up WPML first. I also added the sunrise code as recommended in the documentation. We only have 8 languages on the site.

Symptoms:
CMS login is redirecting to the front-end. It was working this morning but now it has stopped again. We have deactivated the network admin plugin but still not able to access the CMS.

Questions:
Why is the CMS login redirecting to the front-end?
How can I resolve the issue of not being able to access the CMS after deactivating the network admin plugin?
