Background of the issue:
My website has been translated into English and French using WPML. Everything seems to work fine but the only translation issue I have is with the “Amelia” appointment booking plugin.

Symptoms:
The plugin seems to be having trouble sending appointment notifications to my customers in the right language. Once a client book an appointment, the notification will be sent to the client in French whether the website is in English or French. By contacting the Amelia developers, here's their answer to my problem:

"Firstly you did not set page locale language on your site and since Amelia follows your page locale language that you have set. If there is none Amelia will send only original template that is set in Amelia"

Questions:
Do you know how I can solve this problem?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching us.

Have you tried translating the "notifications" from the Amelia plugin? We have some similar tickets and usually, this is solved by translating the Amelia Plugin settings

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wp-amelia-plugin-ubersetzung/

Have you tried the suggested string translation method to see if it works?

Hello,

Yes I already did this and it does not work. According to the Amelia Team, here is the problem:

"Firstly you did not set page locale language on your site and since Amelia follows your page locale language that you have set. If there is none Amelia will send only original template that is set in Amelia"

Do you know how to solve this?

Thanks,

Simon

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching us.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
