Hi,
Thank you for contacting WPML support!
In a nutshell, is the issue that exclusions offered by GeneratePress don't work automatically so you have to adjust them on translated pages?
In any case I am unable to view your website examples because they require me to login. Can you provide me with login credentials? Perhaps there is a custom field that control this so we can set to copy.
1. In a nutshell, is the issue that exclusions offered by GeneratePress don't work automatically so you have to adjust them on translated pages? - Yes, it is.
2. I can give you login info via private message. Please create private message for me
Right now they seem to have "copy once" setting - can you do the following:
- Unlock them
- set as "copy"
- resave any original post and set some conditions so that the change applies to
- if it doesn't work properly try setting "translate", perhaps it may work
If none of it works we will try to reproduce the issue in our sandbox environment and escalate to our compatibility team for further checks.
None of it works. I tried set both "copy" and "translate". But my exclusion is always "Post Tag: post tag test - en" after I update my element and Vietnamese language.

Ok, one last thing before escalating - I see that this block is set to be excluded on hidden link.
Can you have that block showing up somewhere, for example another tag?
Because even if conditions on the translated language appear to be applied to the same taxonomy, perhaps there is a filter within GeneratePress which does the work behind the scenes.
So we need something in the frontend where we can observe the behaviour with exclusions.

This hidden link, even if I set its Location to be that tag hidden link, it doesn't show up that image, how can I get this element to appear somewhere so I can see that exclusion works? Can you set this up?

This has been escalated to our Compatibility team and may take some debugging time, I'll get back to you as soon as I have any news or questions for you.
