This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with translating a blog post into French using WPML. The post remains in English despite attempts to translate it. The client also inquired about editing posts using the Classic Editor instead of Elementor.
Solution:
1. We activated Elementor on the problematic post and saved it, which allowed the translation to function correctly. For future posts, ensure Elementor is activated before translating.
2. To revert to using the Classic Editor for other posts, we restored the settings to use the Classic Editor, and confirmed that translations still work.
3. We encountered an issue with the Czech translation missing HTML tags, specifically the
<p>
tags. After testing on a sandbox site, we confirmed that adding these tags should resolve the issue.
4. If issues persist, especially with older posts edited previously in different editors, we recommend setting up a staging site for further investigation or considering the use of Elementor or Gutenberg editor consistently.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case.
