This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client experienced a fatal error: 'Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_language_codes() on bool' in the WPML String Translation plugin, which led to disabling the plugin to keep the website operational.
Solution:
We provided a custom search URL to help the client find existing support tickets related to the same issue: Google search for similar issues.
If the client prefers live support, they should mark this ticket as resolved and then visit WPML support forum to report a new issue. Availability for live chat is higher from Monday to Friday in the European time zone.

If this solution is outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

Hi there.

I created a custom search URL for you so that you can quickly find the existing support tickets that are based on the same topic and that already contain solutions and explanations shared by my colleagues:
hidden link

This way, you might find the solution faster and we might spend less time on this ticket.

Please take a look over the first results and let me know if you managed to get this resolved by following the steps shared by my colleagues.

If you prefer a live chat session instead of a support ticket, where someone will assist you live, you will need to mark this ticket as resolved and then go here (https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/) > select "Report a new issue."

If there are any empty spots in the live chat queue at that time, you will be offered that option. If no colleagues are available for live chat at that time, your request will automatically be turned into a support ticket. That is how the system works.

I would also like to inform you that the highest availability is from Monday to Friday, in the European time zone.

Also, please note that during the weekend, fewer people are available.

I hope you find this information helpful.
