This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to update the Custom Fields Translation for an ACF field. Despite changing the translation type from 'Copied' to 'Copy Once', the setting is not being saved, preventing the editor from updating the field in the translated post.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend the following steps:
1. Go to ACF → Field Group and open the Field group that contains the specific field.
2. At the top of the page, click on the "Change Option" link to modify the Translation mode.
3. Select "Expert" mode from the available options.
4. Scroll down to the field you want to change the translation settings for.
5. Adjust the translation Preference as needed and then save your changes.

This should resolve the issue with the field settings not being updated. If this solution doesn't seem relevant to your problem, please open a new support ticket with us.

I am trying to update the Custom Fields Translation for an ACF field.

However, despite having updated the translation type from Copied to Copy Once, the field setting is being reset or not updating

This is therefore continuing to block the editor from updating the field in the translated post.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're having and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

This issue typically arises when attempting to update the Translation preference of ACF fields via the "WPML > Settings > Custom Field Translation" section. It's important to note that if the translation preference for the Field group containing the field is set to anything other than "Expert", you won't be able to change the Translation preference for that specific field from the Custom Field Translation section. To modify the translation preference of certain fields effectively, I recommend the following steps.

- Navigate to "ACF → Field Group" and open the Field group which includes the specific field.
- At the top, there is an option to modify the Translation mode. Click on the "Change Option" link there.
- Choose the "Expert" mode from the available options.
- After selecting "Expert" mode, scroll down to the field you wish to change the translation settings for.
- Adjust the translation Preference as needed and then save your changes.

I hope it will help. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
