I wasn't accessing your site recently, nor did I make any changes to it since we had created a duplicate using Duplicator. Here’s what I suggest: - Please restore the site to its previous state, before the page hidden link was overwritten. This is unusual behavior, and at this point, I’m not entirely sure what’s happening on your site. If the logins changed please provide me with the new/updated site access. |

Hi, I wasn't implying on your fault regarding what's happening. Since I still need to continue development on this website, I confirm you that I already restored website to previous state a couple days ago. After that I just edited buttons on Revolution Slider and added some media files (just uploaded them). I avoided at all cost to keep editing Elementor pages...I don't trust the stability anymore. In fact the url it's not "services" and if you check hidden link and hidden link you will see english and italian content correctly. I confirm you that the login is still the same I created at the start of this ticket. I won't edit or access the website anymore till you confirm you are done with Duplicator. Will second-tier support need to edit and test my website or they will do on your package locally? Thanks! |

I created and downloaded Duplicator packages, we will proceed with debugging and checking this and will keep you posted. |

It appears that the WPML string tables may be partially corrupted, which is affecting how some pages—particularly the home page—are rebuilt under certain conditions. While we can’t determine exactly how this happened, it’s clear that this is contributing to the unusual behavior you’re seeing. As a workaround for the current issue (where changing the slug of *Servizi* to *Services* impacts the home page), we recommend the following: - Please delete the package for the Italian home page (ID 97) under WPML > Packages before updating the slug. Doing this prevents WPML from trying to rebuild the page using incorrect string data, ensuring the English content remains unaffected. You can try the same with the other pages where the similar issue occurs. Let us know once you’ve done this or if you’d like assistance with the process. Make sure to have a backup beforehand. |

Hi, I thank you for the loom video, it was exactly my issue. I did some tests with another dev and we find out that disabling WPML SEO solved the: "where changing the slug of *Servizi* to *Services* impacts the home page" As for the original issue of this ticket, disabling WPML String translation "solved" that. Since I didn't use WPML SEO and WPML String translation on this particular website, I don't mind removing them. But considering we still need to work on this website and add pages, content etc... I want to ask you, before proceeding, should we still do: "- Please delete the package for the Italian home page (ID 97) under WPML > Packages before updating the slug. " ??? Also did you access or changed our website this week? Thanks in advance. |

Apologies for the delayed response — due to the Easter holidays, most of the team, myself included, were out of office. Disabling String Translation would have the same effect as deleting the translation packages, since String Translation is actually responsible for creating and managing them. Our second-tier support team performed debugging on their local environment using the latest Duplicator package, so your live site should not have been modified by us. My tests were also conducted locally using your site package. If you're translating pages directly in Elementor (and not using the WPML Translation Editor), String Translation wouldn't be necessary. However, if you’ve translated theme or plugin options, those translations may no longer function correctly. |
