Tell us what you are trying to do?

I'm trying to edit the text in the checkout button, I'm not able to do so, using the translate manager, I need help to locate the folder that contains the checkout page in Spanish in my file manager in Cpanel, I'm able to find it in english

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi there.

Before this ticket gets assigned to my colleagues, I will try to help.

The proper way to translate strings depends a lot on how they have been implemented inside the theme/plugin.

Sometimes, there are even duplicates of the same string and only one of them is the correct one that needs to be translated.

Also, sometimes, simply removing the string (checking the box and removing it) and then re-registering it again by scanning for it (one of the methods below) and re-translating it resolves the issue.

1. Please try this:

Go to WPML > String Translation and at the bottom of the page you will find a checkbox called "Look for strings while pages are rendered". You can enable (check) that and then go in the front end to a page where you have that string showing up and then go back to WPML > String Translation and search for that string and see if it now shows up.

2. If you can't find them inside the WPML > String Translation, they might be added as admin text.

This should be the normal process to find and translate admin text strings:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

Please let us know how that goes.

Kind regards,

Hi,

I'm not sure how this works, I did as suggested and it doesn't solve the issue, i still can't translate it, all i need is to locate the spanish checkout page file in the file manager, i will translate it from there.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for. Please note that the text you are attempting to translate is static, and such texts can typically be translated via the String Translation section. There's no need to modify any page files for translating these texts.

For your information, WPML creates virtual directories for all languages. These are not real physical directories on the server’s drive, but virtual directories that only appear in URLs. Therefore, the file that you're looking for only exists in the default language, not in other languages.

If you want to modify the default checkout page, this article might help you in this matter: hidden link

Once the button text is modified, you should be able to translate the text to other languages from "WPML > String Translation". Before that, please make sure to scan the WooCommerce plugin for the Strings by going to "WPML > Theme and Plugins localization".

Additionally, I have reviewed the Spanish checkout page and found that the Checkout button is already properly translated. Please check this screenshot: hidden link

Please let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
