This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was unable to access the Gutenberg editor in WordPress when WPML was active. The editor page remained blank upon attempting to edit articles.
Solution:
We recommended enabling WordPress Debug Mode to identify any errors. The client was instructed to modify the
wp-config.php
file to enable debugging and log errors to a file. After reviewing the debug log, which showed warnings related to WPML, further tests were conducted without reproducing the issue on our test servers. We then performed WPML troubleshooting steps, which resolved the issue on the client's live site. It's important to clear all types of caches after such operations to ensure changes take effect.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
