When you switch from the Classic to the Advanced WPML Translation Editor, the two editors store translations differently.
So, if a page was translated using the Classic Editor, and you switch to the Advanced Editor, WPML won’t automatically carry over those translations. It treats the page like it's not yet translated, and may even overwrite or ignore the old translation unless you re-translate it in the new editor.
To fix it, you need to open the page in the Advanced Editor and copy and paste the translations there.
That sounds like redoing all the translation to me.
Another thing is, if I need to bold certain words in a paragraph of the translation in the translation editor (while the original language doesn't have to), how can I do that please? It's doesn't have the rich text editor like the class translation editor.
IF you want to have different designs per language, even something like bold, then you should edit the translation using the page builder instead of either of the WPML translation editors. Otherwise, you risk overwriting the translations. Unfortunately, the translations don't copy from the classic editor to the advanced editor, so my suggestion is to figure out which method best suits your needs (and WordPress editor is the option if you need different designs per language).
