Background of the issue:
After the latest plugin update, I’m no longer able to save emojis or special characters like "&" in my translations. I only realized this issue after translating several pages, and now I need to review all of them. While I can manually add emojis or special characters using a string translation tool, this isn’t possible when translating an entire page. Additionally, I’ve noticed that new inputs, hovers, and buttons are displayed incorrectly in Safari, making them difficult to use.

Symptoms:
Emojis and special characters like "&" are not saved in translations. New inputs, hovers, and buttons are displayed incorrectly in Safari.

Questions:
How can I resolve the issue of emojis and special characters not being saved in translations?
What can be done about the incorrect display of new inputs, hovers, and buttons in Safari?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will gladly help you.

This has already been escalated to our developers, as a workaround, can you try the following:

Open the page in Translation Editor, on the right-hand side there is a settings icon, click on it and enable "Use the previous version of Advanced Translation Editor"

* The issue is a high priority, but we can't provide an estimated time of when a fix/patch will be released.

Let me know if that works out for you and thanks for understanding.

Kind regards,
Marsel
