Hi,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. To help speed up the support process, I've enabled a private message for submitting the debug information for this support ticket. Please follow these initial debugging steps:
https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/
In short:
- Go to "WPML > Support > Debug Information" (link)
- Copy the Debug Information from there.
- Find the private field I activated and paste that information.

---

While waiting for that information, here are some initial debugging steps for 404 errors.
- Go to "WPML > Settings > Language URL format", make sure that you have chosen "Different languages in directories" and resave.
- Go to "Settings > Permalinks" and resave your permalinks
- Check your htaccess for custom rules that could interfere with WPML
- Using FTP or Cpanel, make sure that you don't have a /en folder at the root of your WordPress install

Hi,

IT seems that WPML detected a change in URL. Please go to "Dashboard or "WPML > Translation management" to see the banner "Site copied or moved" and select "This is a copy".

By the way, I visited your site and the URL format seems to be "Language as a parameter"
hidden link
Did you change from repertories to parameters to make it work?
If the issue happens only when repertories are selected it could be that the folder /en already exist as mentioned before.

If the issue persist after that, to save time, could you please provide me with a temporary admin access (wp-admin and FTP) – preferably to a test site where the issue has been replicated – so I can further investigate. I will activate a private field for your next answer where you can provide that information safely (this field is only visible by you and the support team). Don't share your own admin account, create a new one that you will delete when we finish troubleshooting.

IMPORTANT: Before we proceed, please backup your site and database.

Hello,

Thanks for the access. I followed the instructions below and couldn't reproduce the error 404.

- Go to "WPML > Settings > Language URL format", make sure that you have chosen "Different languages in directories" and resave.
- Go to "Settings > Permalinks" and resave your permalinks

For me hidden link and hidden link are working correctly.

Here is a video of my intervention: hidden link

Note that because we're working on a production site, I set languages back to "parameters" to let the site as it was before I had access.
