Background of the issue:
I've set Menus to be 'Translatable- use translation if available or fallback to default language' in the settings of WPML. I am trying to have menus and filters fallback to the main language if translations are not available. My website is going to have a lot of products that will be changing.

Symptoms:
Menus don't show up unless I create translations for them from scratch. Filter values won't appear in the secondary language unless every product is translated in the category.

Questions:
Is the 'Translatable- use translation if available or fallback to default language' option something new or not yet documented?
Do I still need to do the translations and edit each menu in each language once something changes in the future?
Is there a workaround to have a more convenient fallback for menus and filters?
