This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing a PHP Fatal error due to memory allocation issues. The error messages indicate that the server's memory limits are being reached, and there's an issue with output buffering in the WPML plugin's ComposerAutoloadClassLoader. Solution: We recommend contacting your hosting provider to discuss these errors and the server's resource limits. It's also advisable to investigate other plugins and recent changes on your website that might be causing resource usage spikes. Ensure all plugins and themes are updated to their latest versions. If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to consult the related known issues on WPML at https://wpml.org/known-issues/.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it becomes outdated, please open a new support ticket. We highly recommend checking the related known issues and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. From what I can see, the initial fatal errors are related to either the server configuration or more exactly to server resources limits being reached.
There is only one error that is related to our plugin which is this:
PHP Fatal error: ComposerAutoloadClassLoader::findFile(): Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /home/xxxx/aniseed.eu/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/vendor/composer/ClassLoader.php on line 459.
And, from what I can see in two existing tickets related to this same type of error message, these issues might also take place due to the server performance being affected.
You can see here the two tickets that I was referring to: hidden link
So, my honest recommendation is to get in touch with the hosting support and share these errors with them.
This type of error ("PHP Fatal error: Out of memory - allocated 1434451968 bytes, tried to allocate 262144 bytes") is usually related to server limits being reached - you can see that is being reported many many times online from people that don't even use WPML, practically the code is not beinge able to be ran until the end.
I hope that you will find this information helpful.
Hi,
I sow google results before and they didn't resolve my problem. I have more than week correspondence with A2 with no positive results. They try to increase the memory limit to 4G ... I think that this is not the problem, because based on the error log the current consumption is 1,43GB RAM and trying to allocate 40-50 MB more. Then the fatal error occur. The theme I'm using is Flatsom with plugins that I used in other websites on same hosting including WPML. That is why I can't find the reason for that error.
I definitely understand your frustration with the ongoing performance issues despite the efforts you made so far. It sounds like you have been dealing with this problem for quite a while now. Based on the information you provided and based on the error messages, as I mentioned earlier, it seems that the error you are encountering is more likely related to the server resources reaching their limits rather than being specific to the WPML plugin or the Flatsome theme (which is a well known theme by the way).
The fact that your current memory consumption is not significantly high before the fatal error occurs indicates that there might be another process or plugin on your website causing a sudden spike in resource usage. While Flatsome is a widely-used and reputable theme, and WPML is a popular plugin known for its compatibility, it's possible that another plugin or process is utilizing a considerable amount of resources on your server.
I recommend investigating further into the other plugins you have installed and any recent changes made to your website that could be contributing to this issue. Also, please make sure that all the plugins and the currently active theme are updated to the latest versions available.
Please do not hesitate to constantly get back to your hosting support asking for further help.
This is definitely not normal and they should investigate on this matter until it gets fixed, as you are paying for a service and you should get amazing support for it.
Please let me know how things go and if there will be any updates from the hosting company or any findings on your side regarding this situation.
