This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client's footer padding disappeared after translating it into German, and the 'container-fluid' class was missing on the translated page.
Solution:
We checked the translated footer template and found that the 'Wrap as Container' value was not set correctly. We selected the correct value, which resolved the issue. If you're experiencing a similar problem, we recommend checking the 'Wrap as Container' value in your translated footer template and ensuring it is set correctly.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Good afternoon,

I have just translated my footer into German, but the paddings have disappeared. It seems that the class 'container-fluid' no longer appears on the translated page. How can I fix this?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Please let me know how this padding attribute is added in the default language.

If this class is added to the default language using a page builder, please edit the translated footer template and add the class.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi, I didn't add the padding myself, it was already programmed into the theme (Porto) by default. Furthermore, I just arranged the translation via 'translation management'.

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I checked the issue and found that the translated footer template doesn't have the correct "Wrap as Container" value. (Kindly check the attached screenshot)

I've selected the correct value, which fixed the issue. Please check the German footer and let me know if you can see the padding as expected.

Best regards,
Osama
