Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with translating your FSE template for the homepage and noticing that another template appears instead of the translated version, this might be due to having duplicate homepage templates.
Solution:
We recommend that you ensure all related templates are translated and delete any duplicate templates you are not using from the Editor screen. Additionally, if the translated page still uses the default theme front page template, you might need to rename the template file in the theme folder. For example, changing the name of 'frontpage' to '1frontpage' in the templates directory ensures it is not used at all. Please verify the changes and see if the issue resolves.

Keep in mind that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that my FSE website displays the correct language for the menu using WPML.

Symptoms:
The website shows the main menu instead of the translated version.

Questions:
Why is the main menu not displaying in the correct language on my FSE website?

Hello,

this is the ticket related to FSE templates and issue you reported in chat.

Please make sure you have translated all related templates and deleted the one you are not using from Editor screen. Sometimes if you have duplicate homepage templates it can cause issues.

I don't know how to solve this. I have a FSE template for the homepage.
I tried to translate the English version and continue to appears another template.
You can compare the Original homepage version and the translated ones.

Hello,

thanks, I checked and found that translated page still used default theme frontage template because it was not deleted in other languages. I went to theme folder > templates and changed name of frontpage to 1frontpage, this way it is not used at all.
