This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client translated three pages into Spanish, but when attempting to view these pages, they displayed as empty with only the background color visible, lacking header, footer, menus, or content.

Solution:
We investigated the issue and found that it might have been related to a caching problem, which now appears to be resolved. If you're still experiencing this issue, we recommend clearing your cache and refreshing the page. Additionally, ensure that there are no duplicated templates in your theme that could be causing the problem. If the issue persists, it might be necessary to re-translate the pages to ensure all elements are correctly processed.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at our support forum.

Background of the issue:
I translated three pages: hidden link, hidden link, and hidden link. The translation of all three pages is 100% completed. I am trying to view the translated version in Spanish.

Symptoms:
When I go to the translated version (to Spanish), I see an empty page with only the background color of the website, but no header, footer, menus, or content. The issue can be seen at hidden link. I expected to see the page translated into Spanish, but instead, I got an empty page.

Questions:
Why is the translated page showing up as empty?
How can I fix the issue of the translated page not displaying content?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

I can see the problem as you mentioned. Before proceeding further, can you please try the following?

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML and String Translation.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024. I see that you're already using this theme. You can either switch to the parent theme or if you've customized it, then try installing the theme afresh from Themes -> Add New.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

Please let me know and I'll try my best to further help you on the matter.

Regards.

I switched to the Twenty-Twenty Four theme and I can see the translated page there. It seems like this is because of problems with translation of the template. I switched back to my child theme, if I chose a different template for the translated page then this page is showed correctly and not empty.

So now I am faced with multiple problems:

1. One of the problematic pages uses the template "Page with Sidebar Right Keith". I have translated this template and it shows 100% Complete in the translation editor. However when I edit the Spanish page with the block editor and try to chose this template (right menu > Post > Template > click on the name of the template > Swap template), this template does not appear in the list of templates. This is not only a problem with this template, there are also other templates that I translated fully but do not appear in the list.

I wonder if there is a way to bypass the editor and change the data of the page to the template id of the desired template?

2. Another of the problematic pages uses the template Single Posts. I had multiple attempts of trying to translate this template. At the moment, in the Translations queue I can see this template appears 6 different times for the Spanish

3. In addition, I have a template called "Page with Sidebar Right Gallery". When I try to translate it with the translation editor, it shows nothing to translate and "NaN% Complete" at the bottom.

Thank you for the updates.

I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in the admin and on the frontend.

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I checked for all these issues in detail and look like these all are different problems, please consider following:

1) This seems to be fixed, perhaps there was a caching problem and that's why it looks fine.

2) I cancelled all the translations for this and then translated again. However, when translating it says about a duplicated item (see attached). Besides this, I can see multiples of this template. I tried to reproduce it by creating one new template for Single Posts (Templates -> wpml -> Single item: Post). After adding this, I tried to add again and I can only add 1 of this (see wpml.jpg attached).

So there's something wrong with your "Single Posts" template which is part of your child theme.

3) Yes I see the problem with this too, while I tried translating newly added template, as well as, a few others, which look fine.

In short, as per my understanding these issues need separate attention and may require the investigation accordingly. As per our forum policy we can handle only one issue per ticket, so I'm splitting #2 and #3 into separate tickets for our support to handle accordingly.

I'll handle #1 in this ticket, which seems to work fine. But please feel free to continue for #1 in this ticket if issue persists, or you can close it as resolved.
