We have WPML live on hidden link

The site is built on Kinsta hosting, but the DNS is running though Alicloud DNS servers and doing some funky dynamic DNS magic.

We are seeing this error message in the admin (see attached screenshot) that says the site can't connect to WPML.org to check for updates. Can you shed any light on why this might be the case? Is the error on our side or is the WPML server having a problem?

Cheers

Charles

Hi there.

There's a big chance that what you are seeing is a false-positive that remained in the server caching and the notification will be removed automatically when the cache will automatically clear on its own.

To check if that's a false positive, go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial > click the "check for updates" button and if the page refreshes and WPML is still showing as registered, then yes, that is just a false positive.

Please let me know how that goes.

Kind regards,

Hi, I clicked the "check for updates" button and the page is refreshed and still showing as registered. So that error will clear on its own?

Hi there.

Yes, that is correct.

This is what should be happening at some point.

If it remains connected, things are good.
