it is escalated to our ATE developers for a permanent fix, it may take a while before we have any more news to share.

As a workaround, you can try using CTE and copy/use there the HTML code. Please note switching CTE to ATE and another way around may cause some translations to be lost.

Please make a backup before proceeding.

okay, we checked and I got a reply from our developers.

The values when translated should be HTML encoded.

This means you need to add encoded values again to the CTE translation box since it automatically converts them.

Hi, again! Thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately this will not work for us. We look forward to updating ATE.

In fact, another problem arose. I will write here because it may be related.

We have had cases where in the normal text some part is just missing in translated page.
English version has the text, then in the editor the phrases are also there, but in the Spanish preview, they are missing.

It occurs most often in the list component of the Gutenberg editor.
I attach screenshots. There are also less-than sign, but it seems the problem is not that. I tried to remove it and it doesn't work.

I understand, I will update you when I have some news.

As for new issue, it sounds similar but as per behavior and your feedback, it sounds like a new issue or similar issue:

There are also less-than sign, but it seems the problem is not that. I tried to remove it and it doesn't work.

Can you please start a new ticket for this new issue, to not mix it with escalated case and one of my colleagues will take a look and debug the issue further.

I am changing the status of this ticket to Escalated to the WPML developers team and will update you when I have some news.
