This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client needed to display different logos on the header for translated content using the Astra Theme. While they managed to change the transparent header logo via Translate Admin text, they couldn't find the default logo URL for other pages in String Translation or Admin Texts Translation. Attempts to use Media Translations to upload a different image for the logo were unsuccessful. Solution: We advised the client to search for the logo using the 'Translate texts in admin screens' tool, specifically looking for 'header-logo' or by the logo image link. For detailed guidance on finding strings that don't appear on the String Translation page, we recommended visiting: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/ Additionally, we requested temporary access to the site to further investigate and resolve the issue, ensuring to follow strict privacy and security policies.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I need to show a different logo in the header for translated content on my site using the Astra Theme. Some pages use a transparent logo, which I managed to change via Translate Admin text in [astra-settings]transparent-header-logo. However, I can't find the default logo URL for other pages, like hidden link, in String Translation or Admin Texts Translation. I also tried using Media Translations to upload a different image for the logo, but it didn't work.
Symptoms:
I am unable to locate and change the default logo URL for translated content on some pages.
Questions:
How can I change the default logo for translated content in the Astra Theme?
Why is the Media Translations method not working for changing the logo?
I'm happy to jump in and help you get this fixed as soon as possible.
1. Can you please send me the URL or name of the image/media file that you want to use for the other logo?
2. I would like to kindly request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site so that I can thoroughly examine the issue. The necessary fields can be found below the comment area. Please read my November 26, 2024 at 11:34 am reply. I managed to locate string I have to translate, it wasn't link just media item number.
