[Resolved] Hello theme + Elementor Pro - Page layout not in sync with 2nd langauge
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are experiencing issues where changes made in the base language using Elementor Pro, such as layout and CSS styles, are not syncing correctly with the second and third languages. This problem is particularly evident in the mobile version, where changes like URL updates in Smart Slider are not reflected. Solution: First, ensure that any changes made in the default language are followed by updating the translations. This update is necessary for the changes to sync across all languages. If you are using automatic translation, this update should occur automatically. However, if the issue persists, it might be related to caching. We recommend deactivating any caching plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the issue. Specifically, with plugins like LiteSpeed Cache, consider adjusting settings to exclude certain pages or sections from being cached to prevent them from interfering with Elementor's functionality.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to it being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems continue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I just want to do all the layout changes in the base language - English. Then the style and layout will sync with the 2nd and 3rd language. The real situation is some are in sync, some are not. Bigger issue is in Mobile version.
Symptoms:
Page changes like CSS style, url changes cannot in sync with 2nd or 3rd language, although the changes look applied in the elementor preview. Smart Slider url changes cannot reflect in the mobile version.
Questions:
How to fix the page out of sync issue? What is the best practice to handle layout, CSS style changes with the theme builder elementor pro?
are you using custom CSS and if so how are you adding the custom CSS, is it added directly in Elementor PRO's field or within a third party plugin?
Technically speaking the changes done in the default language, should sync with the secondary language AFTER the translation has been updated.
For example:
1. A change in the layout is made in default language
2. The translation is now showing a "loading circle" icon, letting you know the translation needs to be updated
3. You update the translation and the layout is matching.
NOTE: if you are using automatic translation there is no need to manually update the translation it will happen automatically.
Thanks for your reply. I am using the Elementor pro's field to apply CSS, not 3rd party plugin. I have completed all the translation without the "loading circle", and have no hints why the 2rd language page content not in sync.
I do not use automatic translation. Problem still exist and seeking for support. Thanks.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

You are correct, this is affecting the /zh-hant version only at the moment, however, there is no custom CSS that would be causing this or not being copied.
From what I can see it is affecting all the Elementor Icons on that version.
I have found some similar cases online (not related to WPML), however, I wonder why only one version is affected and not all the languages.
Typically these type of issues are related to caching and how the caching plugins handle Javascript. media files and SVG icons.
I confirmed this by deactivating the following caching plugins:
A2 Optimized WP
LiteSpeed Cache
I recommend adjusting the caching plugins to ensure they are not affecting the elementor icons.
I believe with Litespeed cache you can exclude certain pages or even sections from being cached.
